I started an ongoing series of stickers featuring various dog breeds wearing hats. I wanted to create stickers that I could create more of, and something that people would find humorous and hopefully use on their notebooks, water bottles, etc.
The first set in this series is a basset hound in a spinner hat, a golden retriever in a cowboy hat, and a samoyed in a sailor hat.
The style of the stickers came about on its own, I started with a much more realistic approach and didn't feel right about it. So I simplified a lot of details and went for a more hand drawn, imperfect approach, fitting for the silly personality of the theme.
