A Brief History
Winsome is a magazine I created for an Information Design project in 2017. The 20-page magazine, focused on body image in America, was printed and showcased at the 2017 Research and Creative Works Conference at BYU-Idaho, where it received positive reception and a Proficient Recognition certificate.
The following summer, I decided to bring Winsome back as an ongoing passion project, and create feature spreads for stories featuring today's biggest celebrities. I rebranded the magazine to be geared towards a more modern, millennial audience and wanted the design of each "issue" to be unique to its own story. Winsome's original purpose was to educate about important issues in today's society, and that's something I wanted to continue moving forward.
